Shelter Rentals

Galion has several enclosed and unenclosed shelters available in city parks. Shelters are used on a first-come, first served basis unless a reservation fee is paid. Shelters can be reserved by calling 419-468-1857 and payments can be made by cash or check at the city building.
The East Park Cabin is located at 1200 East Walnut Street, in the southeast corner of East Park. It is enclosed with electric, heat, and a fireplace. There are restrooms inside, as well as picnic tables, free standing tables, and folding chairs.

There is an unenclosed shelter attached to the cabin. Playground equipment and a basketball court are nearby.

Rental fee: $55 for a full day
The Amann Shelter, located at 4973 State Route 309, is a brand new enclosed shelter. It offers a natural park setting beside Amann Reservoir. It sits atop a hill on the north side of the reservoir. There are swings and fishing areas nearby.

Two additional, unenclosed shelters are available at the reservoir. The reservation fee is $25.

Amann Shelter
Frank Shelter is located in Heise Park beside the high school baseball field. It is unenclosed but does have electric. It is surrounded by green space.

There is a sand volleyball court nearby and a playground is located across the street.

The reservation fee is $25.
PECO Park, South Park, and Cobey Park each have one unenclosed shelter available. They can be reserved for $25.
