State Route 598 Widening

The City has received Federal and State funding to assist in widening a total of 1.16 miles of State Route 598, from Carter Drive north to Brandt Road. The new width will accommodate a center turn lane through the entire section of road way.

In 2020, the land acquisition process will begin in order to ensure there is enough right-of-way secured for the project. The engineering will be completed and any conflicting utilities will be relocated.

The Federal and State funding for the project becomes available in July of 2021.
